New Year Nice

Nice, city of the French Republic, is the main centre of the French Riviera: more precisely, is situated in the department of the Maritime Alps, in the immediate vicinity of the Italian border.
Nice is a very appreciated city by the tourists from all over the world, but in particular by the American, the British, the Scandinavian and, obviously, by the Italian neighbours.
There are many places to go to in Nice, as for example the beautiful Place Massena, one of the most representative squares of this city.
Here you can admire the beautiful works of modern art by the Jaume Pensa artist: its wonderful human figures statues that at the sunset they illuminate with bright colours.
In the square you remain affected by the beautiful fountains games, next to the monument dedicated to the French Riviera; and finally you can visit the Galerie Lafayette.
In the centre of the city you can admire one of the most successful examples of the modern art: this is the Library Palace by Louis Nucera, that is a human head stylised and squared.
Talking about art, it is a must the visit to the Mamac, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, situated in the famous Promenade des Arts road.
Here, the first art work to admire is the building itself: the Palace, quite original, it is formed by four towers of grey marble, that are connected among them by long transparent gangways.
The museum houses works belonging to the American and European avant-garden from the 1960s.
