New Year's Eve Forli

Forli' is the ideal destination for those who would love to spend a relaxing New Year’s Eve, but it is not too far from the entertainment of the Riviera Romagnola. The main activities of the city are those related to the agriculture and the industry, even if the most developed economic sector is certainly that one of the tourism. Two main reasons to visit in Forlì are: first of all because it is rich in history and art, that you breathe in every corner, thanks also to the many cultural initiatives that are organized.
Secondly, Forlì is a real funny place for those who love the shopping: you will be seduced by wonderful craft shops and by the characteristic flea markets. Furthermore, this wonderful city has so much to offer also historically and artistically: in fact, there are many buildings and monuments built at different times by the various nobles which were at the head of the city.
Let’s start for example, the Ordelaffi family, which reminds us its domination through the Ordelaffi square: here you find the marvellous cathedral, which dates back to XIInd century.
Other important building that decorates the square is the Paolucci Palace-Square: built in the XVIIth century, the building is designed taking as a model the Farnese Palace in Rome.
Other very important places from the historical point of view are those of Viale della Libertà and the Piazzale della Vittoria, all built during the Fascist regime.
For what concerns the religious buildings, you can’t miss a visit to the St. Giacomo apostle church and to his convent, both part of the museum complex of San Domenico.
Finally, along the important road Corso Diaz until the end, you arrive to the fantastic Rocca di Ravaldinoi: this building, dating back to XIVth century, is majestic and charming.
In particular, it affects its greatness: you only need to think that the castle, already huge, was further extended by the Caterina Sforza wish.
Finally, if you want to visit another place, "historical", but with a completely different nature, you can go to the Arcadia disco: this club, situated near the location of Montebusca, was born in 1975, and it has become famous thanks to the cabaret shows with the most famous characters of the moment.
From 1990, the club changed its name (the original one was Caverna) and its style becoming a disco.
