New Year Budapest

Budapest, the Hungary capital, was officially formed in 1873, with the Union of the city of Buda, on the western shores of the Da nube river and the Pest city, which instead is on the eastern shore.
In addition of being one of the main political, economic and industrial centres of the country, Budapest is one of the most beautiful cities of the world: some districts of the town were appointed by the UNESCO as "World Cultural Heritage" such as, for example, the district of the castle.
But let’s start the visit of the city: for those who had little time to spend in Budapest, here are some of the attractions that you cannot miss!
First and foremost the Buda Castle: considered a world cultural heritage, together with the whole district in which it is located.
Within the Castle you can visit three beautiful churches, in addition to various museums that are in delightful streets and squares of enormous historical importance.
Other area to visit is the Andrassy Avenue, one of the most beautiful and meaningful area of the city.
Starting from the Castle and arriving to one of the most interesting parks of the city, the Varosliget, walk along the most eventful and lively Avenue of Europe, from the cultural point of view.
During this long walk you will meet many museums (18!), each of which deserves a visit; and still various theaters, including the beautiful Opera Theatre: these theaters offer a vast and rich diectory of shows of every kind.
And yet, in Andrassy Avenue is situated the basilica, as also the beautiful Synagogue, which is one of the most important monument of the city.
Built in a magnificent Byzantine-Moresco style, the Synagogue of Budapest is the greatest in Europe.
Interesting is the Imre Varga sculpture, that is in the garden of the Synagogue: the sculpture, the Tree of Life, is a huge tree on which leaves are legible the names of the martyrs of the holocaust.
Finally, along the Andrassy Avenue there are Luna Park and the zoo, as a small corner of fun and relaxation.
Within the Varosliget park, the point of arrival of the long walk is on the Andrassy Avenue, where you can visit two interesting and special museums: the Museum of Transport and the Museum of the Railways.
In short, the city of Budapest is able to offer every type of attraction and satisfy the tastes of all its visitors!
